Joe Troyer: So next up, is I want to talk to you guys about kind of some best practices. So once you’ve transitioned into Keto, you’ve done that two week period, you followed the advice, right? You’re now fat adapted, like what are the next things, what should you start thinking about? What are kind of some next steps when you’re ready to go to that next level? So, first and foremost, gamify this gamification these days is such a powerful thing and we can all take advantage of the gamification. So for example, there’s an App that I use, just the, what’s it called? The health App, right? Where I track my weight. Okay. And each and every day I’m in the habit of doing that. There’s an App that I use that’s called strides and we’ll put this here, uh, in the notes on Youtube when this goes up on the youtube channel, but there’s an iPhone app and an android app called strides.

Joe Troyer: And so I’ve gamified kind of the things that I know are my KPIs, the things that I know that I have to be tracking to make sure I’m going in the right direction, right? In business, we all have key performance indicators, right? If you’re running like an ads agency, it’s like how many consults did you have and how many of those consults turned into buyers and what’s your retention like? Like those are the main KPI’s, right? If you’re running a traditional business, it’s like, well how many customers did we get today and what was the cost and what’s the average order value? Those are the KPIs that you got to track, right?

Joe Troyer: Those are the KPIs.

Joe Troyer: But so many times I feel like in our personal lives and our health though, like us as marketers, we know KPIs are important, but we don’t think that they apply outside of marketing folks. They apply outside of marketing. Right? So what are the KPIs that you should be tracking for your health? Right. That’s what I want to talk about. So for me, my Kpi everyday is my weight. at the beginning, I tested my blood glucose and I tested my ketone levels. I really, folks don’t do it anymore unless I’m like experimenting. I’m throwing in some new foods into my diet or trying something new. I will. But I have my ketone levels kind of down. I know what works for me. I know what, what spikes my glucose or my insulin and I know what I should be doing and what I should be eating and what I shouldn’t.

Joe Troyer: So for me it’s all about using that strides app to track my KPIs and make sure that I’m looking at them and reporting them everyday. And it’s my weight and then it’s tracking my food. And so again, I track my food via the Keto app, and for me it’s just helpful. Even if I’m not like so much right now, I’m not, I’m not cutting, right? I’m not trying to lose weight. I’ve lost enough weight. Right? But I’m trying to maintain, and I’m trying to keep tabs on myself so that over time I don’t just keep eating a little more, a little more, a little more. Right. And then I gained weight and I’m like, really slowly gaining weight. Right? And in two months I weight 10 more pounds. Right. So we still got to keep tabs on things. Okay. So my weight and what I eat right now in terms of right, my weight is the things I keep track of inside of stride. Again, the app that I use to track my food is the, the Keto app. It’s a little blue icon. Okay. And so every single day I’m tracking those two things. Okay.
